Day 02 13/09/2011 – More of LA

Today we intended to visit an outlet shopping destination called the Desert Hills Premium Outlets

but decided against it since we weren’t going to hire a car and it was 1hr 45mins away (i.e 1/2 way to Las Vegas).

Instead we settled for the local Citadel outlets.

Once we got there, we had our first American diner experience at Ruby’s.

Whilst ordering my drink I i narrowed down my choices to;

1) 5 calorie ice tea.

2) 190 calorie soft drink

3) 770 calorie milkshake.

We spent very little time Shopping, no longer than the time we spent at the diner.

After Finishing our raid of the Citadel outlets we caught a cab to Little Tokyo.

After discovering what the Farmer’s market had to offer we crossed the road to Whole Foods supermarket.

Those of you who have watched Top Chef season 2 will recognise this was the supermarket the contestants were scrambling in.

In the CVS Pharmacy next door we found this.

Tired, with both feet blistered and swollen we retreated back to the Ramada.

At about 6:30 (Same time as yesterday) WE FELL ASLEEP AND MISSED DINNER…. AGAIN F*CK *!%^@%@!!@@!(^$#!

We woke up hungry at about 11pm & decided to see what was still open *fingers crossed*

Nope, nothing, nothing to eat on our GAY strip, only BSDM and sex toy shops.

We hailed a cab and discovered that the ratio of english speaking taxi drivers was very low.

“Eat ? What eat ? Eh ? Eat ?” Anyways we were dropped off at a 24hr Subway.

Just before walking in, i noticed a flashing sign … **** CRAZYGIRLS **** Strip club.

Let’s eat there !!!  No ….Instead we went to 24hr Pho Citi.

The Pho was ok, chilli substituted by Jalopenos. Cat had grilled Pork chop and rice.

Not bad for a 24hr restaurant – complete with authentic sticky to touch tables.

(Yep lack of photos mean Cat was angry at me again for not capturing Pho Citi and the sex shops).

One more day here then its Vegas time !
