More Touristy stuff today.
*NOT SAFE FOR WORK WARNING* a bit down the page while we visit the Museum of Sex.
In times square there was some kinda Asian cookoff.
Ripley’s believe it or not
After Ripley’s we went next door to Madam Tussaud’s.
After the all the wax we caught a cab down to The Museum of Sex
*NOT SAFE FOR WORK*
Kinky stuff
Animals
Gay section
Comics
At the gift shop
After all the smut, gay sex and comics, we kept moving on the bus to Soho.
One shop i needed to visit while in Soho was the Lacoste Live store, the salesperson in LA said I would love it.
I walked in and out without buying anything ! LIES !
On we walked to Chinatown.
Down to Battery Park to catch a ferry
Back on the bus.
With a bit of time to spare, we had a second attempt at going to “Top of the Rock” for a good view above the city.
We jumped the queue with our New York Pass to find out the next session up top was 8:05 to 9:10pm which would interfere with dinner reservation at 9:15.
We reserved tickets to go up at the next session between 10:50 to 11:05pm, but knowing dinner would take a long time I gave up hope.
Time for the long awaited dinner at Le-Bernardin
We chose to go all out and have the Chef’s Tasting menu.
Cat managed to make this Eloquent man blush when she admitted that she was his groupie !
He was in the episode of Top Chef season 5 when Le Bernardin was featured.
A suprise dessert.
While techniques were of the highest standard, it seems like their produce doesn’t match ours back home.
It was good to tick off one of Cat’s lifetime to dine destinations though.
To top off a Classy dinner, I decided to go to a Classier joint afterwards …. Lace - Gentlemens Club
Much better than any strip club in Sydney, maybe on par with Hollywood Showgirls @ Surfers Paradise.
Only complaint was that all of the girls were from Eastern Europe, not American as i had expected.
Back to LA tomorrow ! then home after that !
(Homesick now).
